Clatskanie served as our overnight stop for this leg of zigzagging. We stayed at the Clatskanie River Inn which was conveniently located to a walking trail that strolled along the water, through the park and to the old town.
As an English major, I was especially excited to visit the birthplace of Raymond Carver.
It was cool to see a community park that allowed camping. What an excellent idea!
Fred Meyer has nothing on this shop. Radio Shack, video rentals and all around convenience store. Oh, and they even had some okay cider in the cold case, which really hit the spot after a long day of exploring.
