Zigzagging requires fuel - for us travelers and our car. You can get both here at the Corbett Country Market.

Pizza and sandwiches - the other red meats.

Another chapter of the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry.

Corbett's "Field of Dreams".

The Historic Columbia River Highway is one of Oregon's gems.

The roadway hugs the wooded hillsides and makes one ponder the effort and vision required to make it a reality back in the 1920's.

The Vista House serves as a gateway to the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. We happened to stop by at the same time as a large group of classic car enthusiasts.

Stunning views greet you inside.

And outside.

We stopped to explore the Oregon Women's Forum Viewpoint on our way back to the main highway.

The viewpoint pays tribute to Samuel Hill. My wife loves references to him. It gives her an excuse to exclaim "what in the Sam Hill!" and then giggle at her own bad joke.

Looking back at Vista House's stunning perch.
