We celebrated my mom's birthday by zigzagging with her through the area around her Lake Labish farm. Our first stop was Waconda which is just a few miles from the farm.
Waconda was a train stop back in the day, but there really isn't much left.
This abandoned electrical substation is the most striking feature of this locale and one is simply drawn to it's apocalyptic facade.
Sadly, the inside of the building is striking in an entirely different way.
It's covered in some hateful graffiti.
Is that light way down there a train approaching?
